The core challenge is: Code for Empowerment.
Build a prototype that fosters inclusion, amplifies underrepresented voices, or breaks down barriers to access, education, or opportunity. The challenge is about using tech as a tool for positive change. No matter how small or simple, your project should help someone feel seen, heard, or supported.
Build a prototype that could be the foundation of a real startup idea. The focus is not just on coding but on problem-solving, business thinking, and storytelling.
- Identify a clear problem your project addresses
- Show how your prototype solves it
- Pitch why it could grow into something bigger
Prize: 💰 $160 per team
Special Challenge 2: Prototyping Random APIBrought to you by Prototyp3 Network

- At least one user interaction (e.g., button, search) that changes the data output
- Combining two or more APIs in a creative way
- Adding a data visualization (graph, map, or animation) to showcase your results
